Planning a Missions Trip?
God is at work throughout the world. The impact of His love, demonstrated through His people to this broken world we live in creates an abiding sense of awe. The heart of LOTI is to use the resources given to us to join with our brothers and sisters involved in God's work all over the world.
In the parable of the talents in Matthew 25, the master gives his servants coins of value because he trusts them to use the talents for his gain. Likewise, the Lord spreads varying resources/abilities among His people to be invested for eternal gain. This perspective drives LOTI's mission: to provide sustainable technologies through partnerships with established mission works.
The physical hardships that face the poor are often complex problems that need the collaboration of minds from different backgrounds. This could mean conversing about sustainable technologies over the phone, training a team before they leave, partnering with specific mission projects, or planning an entire trip based around providing physical aid to a village or group of people.
The Lord has called us as an organization to partnerships that are built on common goals and the synergy of our resources and abilities. The most important resource we offer is knowledge of sustainable design, cultural impact, and appropriate technology in rural places.
